a far-fetched fun-loving place…
once upon a far-fetched fun-loving place…
where deadpan meandered at an easier pace…
and comical stories poured forth into belly-deep roars…
jokes highlighted life’s cheekbones through a loose range of all sorts!…
but one stifled giggle found so little to say…
just a he-he ha-ha-ha on some bouncy delay…
no words to begin with nor even punchlines to find…
’til generous grins gifted their humor and delivered in rhyme!…….
“it’s been such a long heavy load after running three miles!…
but since we’ve left home we’re still holding these smiles!”…
“we tracked a boring joke’s ancestry back to its first family tree!…
not only were those limbs asleep but that orchard needed seeds!”…
“a pun donned its costume for a masquerade’s entertaining affair!…
in a doubled-up ensemble that resembled every combo there!”…
“a wooden dummy so hard up for cash sat selling ventriloquist quips…
a pricey beginner’s course on throwing its wit between a sleight-of-lips!”…
“a snicker crouched inside its mouth near corny antics talking…
hoping to keep a couple more ears from hearing wisecracks stalking!”…
“when an eager brief one-liner devoured its own short-lived voice…
all clowning around headed for that next likely choice!”…

so an escape artist repainted that ragtop with its rooftop folded down!”…

two blew their points to let down that joint then crowned the ref with his!”…

while falling flat it hit its funny bone on side-splitting puns all twisted-up!”…

but it was so wet behind the ears that its lips opened smile-wide brooks!”…
“a riddle tickled some nearby ears leaving them itching to figure it out!…
a head-scratcher full of giggles appeared revealing what it was all about!”…

soon a drawing of comical people ended up comically drawing a crowd!”…

its louder steady play on words changed the reading of that famous fable!”…
“a bad joke enrolled in night school trying to educate itself to be funnier!…
but staff suggested this shot in the dark needed a place much sunnier!”…
“a laugh asked around and found the joke that gave it a longer-lived life!…
soon refueling its giggle tank from an answer surpassing that test of time!”…
“a prank got pulled into hosting a comedy roast to honor a practical joke!…
’til flames rose so high they backfired into choking that room with smoke!”…
“they celebrated a joke’s first birthday with toy one-liners for party favors!…
and a gift of kiddie speech balloons wrapped up inside the funny papers!”…
“a pun advanced to the next round in a spelling bee competition!…
it asked the pronouncer to repeat that word but with a different definition!”…

pulling double duty they peddled their story on a bicycle built for two!”…
“a quipster sent its crew of punsters to a local word-of-the-day debate!…
they took on teams of jokers and pranksters then crazily won first place!”…
