a medley of head lamps…

a medley of head lamps…

a night’s kind heart helps the light get its rest after working overtime days…
darkness shines bright as it takes longer turns and lets the light sleep late!…

when the light arises it thanks the dark for starting to feel more refreshed…
“we make a fine pair!”… it says… “in spring you’ll enjoy a far earlier bed!”…

a dull thought asked a bright idea if it’d like to go along to a corn maze…
“last year i got lost between two ears ’til a tractor later cleared the way!”…

a mind looking for enlightenment tried a secondhand consignment shop…
but even a coal miner’s oil-wick cap lamp still didn’t shine deep enough!…

a dreamer rode bareback on a moonbeam thru’ a night’s open window…
then tried to lasso four bedposts at once ’til an elbow hit its funny bone!…

a prof said to a graduate… “i guess your mind’s got itself lit up a lot now!”…
“no i’m mostly an order picker and packer for my knowledge warehouse”…

“gee”… the prof replied… “that job’s still saving on light bulbs these days!…
more knowledge warehouse work and less thinking hasn’t really changed”…

a house’s darkened windows dream of morning’s daybreak starting to stir…
for when their blinds are raised it opens those eyelids to the outside world!…

dawn glistens upon a frosty morning that foresees a sun’s kindling warmth…
as ice sets a seasonal timer for roots to slowly grow ’til spring leaps forth!…

as a few animals prepare for long winter naps that suspend their animation…
will humans ever create the chance to experience this type of hibernation?…

a sunset decked in orange and red sees autumn’s leaves get ready for bed…
but it sinks too soon below the horizon so twilight tucks them in instead!…

“thanks to a sunrise under my thinking cap i’ve got a breakfast that’s ideal!…
i cook quick oats in espresso coffee for a great wake-up bowl of oatmeal!”…

“the teachers keep telling us what to think!”… said one student to another…
“they take our brightening chances away with say-so’s just like a mother!”…

a kid’s face lit up for after-school chores in a big yard’s leafy playground…
that wannabe future architect enjoyed raking leaves into blueprint layouts!…

a panoramic view of a mountain’s brilliance rolls out its glowing movement…
where eyes behold such colorful spans like prism sides dangling in unison!…

a field feels itself getting a corn crop haircut as blades roll over its scalp…
then it eagerly waits to wear a winter wheat beanie after it sees the plow!…

kids gather up apples shaking the limbs as a bake oven gets set to preheat…
they happily climb for any still tied to mother’s apron strings on that tree!…

wide-eyed young kids encourage a farm truck cruising a dirt lane’s hayride…
reaping their pleasure of earth’s simple treasures in a moonlit countryside!…

a yellow vibrant caterpillar crawled steadily forward then up and around…
hiking the next legs of its journey into a well-grounded alcove it found!…

on a walk into fall along sunlit parades of tree domes cascading ’til winter…
enlivened vibes roaming the soul welcome all seasons of life they’ll enter!…

and…

this medley delivers tender bright wishes for music lighting up autumn!…
as love’n’truth’s hearth keeps the heart’n’soul warm deep inside’n’beyond!…

…

(s’more heading forth)… 🙂

…

(“what seeds did you plant?”… one got asked… “to harvest stuff like this?”…
“it’s not any sowing with roots already growing just a loving wish to give!”)…

… 🙂
